Lever tap or T tap catheter bag - which is right for me?

Having a choice of which catheter products to use is really important, particularly if you’re living with a long-term catheter. Some people tell us that they feel like their catheter is an extension of their body. You use these products on a daily basis, so we believe they should feel as comfortable to use as possible. Sometimes, the smallest things can make a big difference.

Do you know what your drainage bag tap options are?

If you’ve always used the same catheter drainage bag, you may not be aware of the drainage tap options available. The catheter bags in the Ugo Urology range feature two different choices – lever tap and T-tap. A description and image of both can be found below.

Lever tap drainage bag

A lever tap drainage bag features a small, ergonomic-shaped lever which can be pushed down to empty the bag, and pulled up to close it again.

T tap drainage bag

A T tap drainage bag features a T junction where you slide the mechanism across and back again to open and close the bag.

Feedback...

People love our Ugo Leg Bags, and we love to hear what they have to say...

I'm particularly pleased with the Ugo Leg Bags with the short tubes because I'll be able to position those higher up, perhaps on my thigh, so I can wear my sundresses (when we get some sun that is). I can't wait to have a chance when summer arrives! The lever tap on the leg bags is much easier for my husband to be able to handle - especially having big hands and fingers. The lever tap stays closed too - that was another problem I’d encountered before with other bags.
