The tubing at the top of the Ugo 2L Drainage Bags measures 90cm in total.
You may have come across the term ‘link drainage’. This means that your 2L bag is connected to the outlet tubing at the bottom of your leg bag. Once the leg bag tap is opened, urine then flows into the connected 2L bag – making the ‘link’ in link drainage. For guidance on how to do this correctly, each box or bag of Ugo 2L Drainage bags and Ugo Leg Bags comes with a detailed user guide. Alternatively, you can download it from the 'user guide' tab on this product page.
For infection control reasons we say no. Once the drainage bag has been disconnected from the catheter, it should be disposed of.
If there is a link drainage connection in place (your 2L drainage Bag is connected to a leg bag), check the leg bag tap to ensure this is open. If the leg bag tap isn’t open, your urine will be collecting in the leg bag. If you’re unable to see urine draining into the leg bag, check the catheter tubing and the tubing at the top of your leg bag to ensure there aren’t any kinks. If there aren’t any kinks but urine still isn’t draining, contact you doctor or nurse immediately as your catheter may be blocked.
The Ugo Stand with Dignity can be used to support your 2L drainage bag overnight. We know some people prefer to cover up their drainage bag, so the Ugo Stand comes with an optional cover (Dignity Cover). You can position the Ugo Stand freestanding or attached to the side of the bed, it’s up to you. Another option for drainage bag support is the Ugo Hanger. It features a hook which makes it practical for attaching to a bed, wheelchair or chair arm.
Our single-use Ugo 2L Drainage Bags are Ugo 10 and Ugo 11. Ugo 10 is a non-sterile bag and suitable for link drainage only i.e. attaching to your leg bag rather than your catheter. Ugo 11 is sterile so can be used for either link drainage or attaching directly to your catheter. Ugo 12 and Ugo 13 are ideal for individuals who are being cared for under bed rest as they can stay in place for up to one week. If you need any further assistance deciding which Ugo 2L Drainage Bag is best for you, please get in touch.

People love our Ugo 2L Drainage Bags, and we love to hear what they have to say...
The Ugo 2L Drainage Bags are very good. They have a large capacity for overnight drainage, there's no kinking in the tubes and they're easy to connect. They are very secure once connected and the non-return valve to prevent urine going back up the drainage tube is a very good idea. A lot of other products I have tried don't have this built in which can result in accidents.
The Ugo 10 2L Drainage Bags you sent us are excellent! No 'faffing' and all very straight forward with clear, easy to understand instruction booklets, very easy to use (even for large clumsy fingers) - and, even better, no accidents. Yaaay.
