Fitting your bag belt

It is important that you don’t let your catheter leg bag hang down unsupported at any time. Tension on the catheter from the weight of the leg bag will cause discomfort and could cause damage within your bladder or urethra.

You might choose to attach your catheter leg bag to the bag belt first and then to your leg or you may choose to secure the bag belt to your leg and then install the leg bag into the belt.

Option 1

Step 1: Find the four eyelets at the top of your catheter leg bag. Carefully feed the grey Velcro tabs through the two middle eyelet holes and back through the two eyelet holes on the outside of the leg bag, securing the Velcro strip. The Ugo Fix Bag Belt is compatible with all leg bags.

Step 2: Place your Ugo Fix Bag Belt around your leg in the position you would like to wear it. Make sure the silicone line is facing down onto your skin. Carefully secure your bag belt in place.

Ensure you are comfortable with the positioning of your bag belt. Make sure it is not too tight on your leg, your catheter is not pulling and that you are able to move around freely.

Remember, you can cut off any excess material from the Ugo Fix Bag Belt if you feel this will make wearing it more comfortable.
